Get answers to common questions about The Root-Cause Exam + Massage.
During your appointment we complete a thorough history, movement and posture assessment, orthopedic and neurological checks, targeted palpation, and a therapeutic massage focusing on identified problem areas. We finish with a clear diagnosis and a personalized care plan for recovery.
Most Root-Cause Exam + Massage visits last 45 to 60 minutes, allowing time for intake, a focused exam, therapeutic massage, and discussion of findings. First visits may run longer to develop a comprehensive plan and schedule any follow-up care.
The exam is designed to identify contributing factors — joint dysfunction, muscle imbalances, or movement patterns — using hands-on assessment and functional tests. While no exam guarantees an exact source every time, this approach greatly improves diagnostic accuracy and treatment targeting.
Therapeutic massage is adjusted to your comfort level; some targeted work can feel intense but should not be unbearable. Mild soreness for 24–48 hours is normal as tissues release. Your therapist will modify pressure and techniques to minimize discomfort.
Recommended sessions vary by condition: acute issues often improve in 2–6 visits, while chronic patterns may require 6–12 treatments plus home exercises. After initial improvement we establish maintenance frequency to preserve gains and prevent recurrence.
We accept many major insurance plans for chiropractic care; massage coverage varies by policy. Our team will verify benefits before treatment and explain your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs. Cash and flexible payment options are also available.
